Ahhhh....the beach.
It is one of the best places to be(most of the time anyway.) There is something about the smell of the ocean and Coppertone mixed together. We get there fairly early when we go and stay for a few hours. We usually have the beach to ourselves. Then we leave when most people are just arriving. Not yesterday though. I guess because we are having a heatwave, everyone decided to get there early. I choose a spot right in the center of the beach. At one side are the older people who have been worshiping the sun for years and don't want to be bothered. At the other end there are families, each with a lot of whining and crying children. There were PLENTY of other spots to set up camp, but....no. This vacationing family felt the need to be literally 2 feet in front of us. I could have reached out and touched any one of them. Uh...hello, look around. There is plenty of sand elsewhere. So, needless to say, we were in the water until it was time to go. Good thing we live here!
